RecTec Management Group is celebrating its 25th Anniversary! Since the Spring of 1994 we have had the privilege of providing the highest quality timing support, service and sales, pool consulting and most recently live streaming and video production services to the aquatic and sport community.
Throughout the past 25 years our business has evolved from our early years of aquatic leadership and safety training into the full scale operation it is today. Our vision has been driven by the gift of sport to empower all individuals and change lives. We are extremely proud to have had the opportunity to work alongside so many clubs, volunteers, municipalities and businesses dedicated to a shared vision.
Our journey has been exciting and varied and over the next few months we would like to share some of the many highlights along the way to 25 years and as well some of the new adventures on the horizon.
The Early Years:
Lifeguard and Water Safety Training & is where it all began as Volunteers for both the Life Saving Society of Ontario and the Canadian Red Cross. The founders of RecTec began to build the foundations of the business on recognizing the importance of safety and knowledge around the water whether in learning to swim, competing in water sport activities, working in a water related environment or just partaking in some recreational water activities. In both volunteer and consulting roles, RecTec took on work in many areas including; working in the Caribbean to develop and train lifeguards and assist in the creation of the Caribbean Live Saving Community, working with the Red Cross Water Safety Program to develop learn to swim programs for all Canadians and training countless individuals in Lifeguarding, Swim Instructing and First Aid. The values of volunteering and promoting safety in and around water has carried forward throughout our 25 years.
